چکیده

Water model experiments in an acrylic resin vessel have been performed to visualize evolution, growth, coalescence, vibration, and clustering of multi-cavitation bubbles in a standing plain wave at the frequency of about 42 kHz by using high-speed camera. Their dynamic behaviors are phenomenologically discussed in relation to the ultrasound field specified. Another experiment has also been carried out to visualize microjets that appeared near around a water/tetralin interface. It was found from the video-camera photos that many microjets were strongly ejected in the random directions from around the interface with a spreading angle. These jets results an intensified microand macromixing of liquids.

Numerical Solution for Gate Induced Vibration Due to Under Flow Cavitation

Among the many force s to which hydraulic structures are exposed to, the forces induced by cavitation incident are of typical hydrodynamic unknown forces. The aim of this study is to define these forces as coupled fluid-structure interaction under two dynamic effects. The first dynamic effect which incorporates facilities for dealing with cavitation fluid is based on the appearance and bursting...

Cavitation bubble dynamics.

The dynamics of cavitation bubbles on water is investigated for bubbles produced optically and acoustically. Single bubble dynamics is studied with laser produced bubbles and high speed photography with framing rates up to 20.8 million frames per second. Examples for jet formation and shock wave emission are given. Acoustic cavitation is produced in water in the interior of piezoelectric cylind...

Luminescence from cavitation bubbles deformed in uniform pressure gradients.

Presented here are observations that demonstrate how the deformation of millimetric cavitation bubbles by a uniform pressure gradient quenches single-collapse luminescence. Our innovative measurement system captures a broad luminescence spectrum (wavelength range, 300-900 nm) from the individual collapses of laser-induced bubbles in water. By varying the bubble size, driving pressure, and perce...

Laser induced explosive vapor and cavitation resulting in effective irrigation of the root canal. Part 1: a visualization study.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Limited information exists regarding the induction of explosive vapor and cavitation bubbles in an endodontic rinsing solution. It is also not clear whether a fiber has to be moved in the irrigation solution or can be kept stationary. No information is available on safe power settings for the use of cavitation in the root canal. This study investigates the fluid moveme...

Nonspherical laser-induced cavitation bubbles.

The generation of arbitrarily shaped nonspherical laser-induced cavitation bubbles is demonstrated with a optical technique. The nonspherical bubbles are formed using laser intensity patterns shaped by a spatial light modulator using linear absorption inside a liquid gap with a thickness of 40 microm. In particular we demonstrate the dynamics of elliptic, toroidal, square, and V-shaped bubbles....
